Approved Providers

What is an Approved Provider?

A CBMT Approved Provider is an individual or organization that is authorized by CBMT to issue Continuing Music Therapy Education (CMTE) credits to board-certified music therapists for participation in continuing education opportunities. Continuing education in music therapy is essential for ensuring that methodologies in practice align with the latest evidence-based guidelines.

Because 100 CMTE credits are required for recertification every five years, the CBMT Approved Provider program is a core component of our commitment to excellence in the field – and it offers several benefits to our Approved Providers as well.

By joining our international network of CBMT Approved Providers, you not only will enrich your reputation for advancing the innovative field of music therapy, but you also will increase your visibility to a pool of potential clients. Your attendees will be practicing music therapists. Much of the music therapy training you provide today will be approved for CMTE credits, giving you the confidence of knowing your offering has been vetted for clinical relevance and educational merit.
